Background
Frontline Robotics is a Kyiv-based defense-technology company founded in August 2023 by four Ukrainians whose team says it has built systems for Ukraine's armed forces since 2014. Its stated mission is an 'integrated robotic ecosystem' that puts machines, not soldiers, into the most lethal frontline tasks. The portfolio spans air and ground: the Buria (Ukrainian 'Storm,' also transliterated Burya) remotely operated weapon station; the Linza EW-resistant logistics/bomber drone (now Linza 3.0); the Zoom reconnaissance drone; the jam-resistant Hertz control module; and ground robots.
Buria is the signature product — a 47 kg robotic turret for the 40 mm Mk 19, RDS40 or Browning M2 that lets a two-person crew fire from cover while the gun sits forward. It carries a ballistic calculator, stores up to 256 targets, runs autonomously up to 48 hours, and claims ~20 cm accuracy at 1 km and ~3 m dispersion out to 2 km. Originally a fixed tripod turret, Buria's leap was mounting it on unmanned ground vehicles — TerMIT, Tanchyk, Ardal, Ravlyk and others — turning cheap robots into maneuverable 'small tanks.'
