Raser Technology Co., Ltd. (雷昇科技股份有限公司) is not a defense startup but a long-established Taipei radar house. Its historic business is traffic law enforcement: Doppler radar/laser speed measurement, red-light-running detection, breathalyzers/alcohol analyzers, and traffic-accident warning systems sold to Taiwanese police and road authorities. Company registry and its own homepage date the firm to 1967 (an 'About' page confusingly cites 1978 — treat the year as approximate); it is registered in Taipei's Da'an District with a factory in Taoyuan, and its listed representative is 謝宗源 (Hsieh Tsung-yuan). What turned a speed-camera maker into a defense name is the Taiwan Strait.

As Beijing's small-drone incursions over Kinmen and the outlying islands multiplied, Taipei launched its 'drone national team' (2022) to stand up a domestic, China-free unmanned-systems base. Within Taiwan's active-radar/counter-UAS cluster, Raser is the low-visibility name. The category's standout is Tron Future Tech, a 2018 professor-founded startup with an AESA/sparse-array drone radar (T.Radar Pro), a real MND order, and international interest — and it was Tron Future, not Raser, that MOEA picked as integration lead for the Army counter-UAS build.
