Overview
The FP-1 is a long-range one-way attack drone developed and manufactured by the Kyiv-based company Fire Point. It occupies the lower-cost, mass-produced end of the company's strike portfolio, below the heavier FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile and alongside the shorter-range FP-2. The aircraft uses a fixed-wing configuration, a piston engine and a rocket-assisted launch system, allowing it to operate without a conventional runway.
Fire Point describes the FP-1 as a deep-strike system with a current maximum range of up to 2,600 km, a payload of up to 60 kg and a maximum take-off weight of 215 kg. Publicly displayed and subsequently announced configurations have carried higher payload or range claims, including a 120 kg warhead in 2025 and a 2,700 km range after a 2026 wing and fuel-system redesign. These figures represent different configurations rather than a single simultaneously achievable performance standard.
The FP-1's operational significance rests primarily on production volume and reported cost. Fire Point has claimed output capacity of up to 100 aircraft per day, while a reported price of approximately $55,000 places the system below many cruise missiles and larger one-way attack drones. Independently verified production totals, current unit pricing, hit rates and interception rates are not publicly established.
