TITAN

The Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node is a US Army mobile ground station that combines vehicles, shelters and software to fuse sensor data into human-reviewed target recommendations for long-range fires.

Overview

TITAN is a deployable intelligence-processing and targeting system designed to reduce the time between detecting a potential target and presenting it to a commander or firing unit. It ingests geospatial and signals intelligence from sources that can include ground sensors, uncrewed aircraft, crewed aircraft and satellites, then applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to filter the collected data and nominate targets.

The system is more than an application: each TITAN node combines a vehicle-mounted shelter, computing and operator equipment, environmental and power subsystems, and Palantir-led analytical software. Advanced and Basic configurations give commanders different combinations of mobility, capacity and deployment footprint. The Army moved TITAN into production in September 2026 through awards to Palantir and Anduril covering eight additional systems, according to DefenseScoop.

TITAN uses a human-on-the-loop model. Its automation can generate recommendations within defined parameters, but an analyst remains the approving authority for passing a nominated target to a fires unit. The arrangement is intended to preserve human judgment while accelerating a workflow that would otherwise require analysts to search and correlate large volumes of sensor reporting manually.
