Overview

EnforceAir is the flagship product of D-Fend Solutions, a counter-drone company headquartered in Ra'anana, Israel. Where most counter-UAS mitigation either floods the spectrum with noise (jamming) or destroys the aircraft (guns, missiles, interceptors, nets), EnforceAir does neither. The system passively listens for a drone's radio emissions, decodes the communications protocol linking the aircraft to its operator, and then injects its own commands into that link - overriding the original pilot and flying the drone to a controlled landing at a pre-set safe point, according to D-Fend Solutions. The pitch is surgical effect and continuity: GNSS, cellular service and authorized drones in the same airspace keep working, and nothing falls onto a crowd.

The system moved from niche to headline in June 2026, when Motorola Solutions announced a definitive agreement to acquire D-Fend for $1.5 billion, citing thousands of deployments across more than 30 countries, three straight years of over 50% annual revenue growth and expected 2026 revenue of $185 million. The deal, also reported by Reuters, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approval - making EnforceAir the centerpiece of a US public-safety giant's counter-drone strategy just as new US law opens domestic drone mitigation to state and local police.
