Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced plans for an Autonomous Warfare Command on Sept. 30 at Marine Corps Base Quantico. AutoWarCom would be a four-star command with "service-like authorities" built to scale autonomous and robotic capabilities across the joint force, he said. It would be the military's 12th combatant command, according to Defense One.
