Overview
Swarmer Platform is a Ukrainian-developed software system for coordinating multiple uncrewed vehicles. A contract filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission identifies three components: Swarmer OS on each vehicle's embedded computer, Swarmer AI above it for autonomous operations, and Swarmer UI at a ground control station. It is software that can be integrated with different drones, not a single airframe or weapon.
The Kyiv School of Economics describes swarms of up to 25 drones operating in GNSS-denied conditions by 2025, while larger groupings remained an ambition. The study says humans retain life-or-death decisions. Swarmer claims drones equipped with its operating system have flown more than 100,000 combat missions. No independent audit of that count or common definition of a mission is supplied.
