FP-7

A Ukrainian ground-launched, solid-fuel tactical ballistic missile designed to deliver a payload of up to 150 kg over a stated range of 200 km.

Overview

The FP-7 is a short-range ballistic missile developed by the Ukrainian private defence company Fire Point. It is intended to give Ukraine a domestically produced, road-mobile strike weapon below the range and payload class of larger systems such as the US ATACMS and Ukraine's Sapsan programme. Fire Point describes the missile as capable of carrying up to 150 kg to a range of up to 200 km, with a claimed maximum speed of 1,500 m/s and circular error probable of 14 m.

The missile uses solid propellant and launches from an inclined guide rather than a vertical launch canister. Fire Point has presented the underlying architecture as scalable: the baseline FP-7 is a surface-to-surface weapon, while the related FP-7.x is being developed as an anti-ballistic interceptor for the European Freyja programme. The much larger FP-9 is a separate missile rather than a simple FP-7 modification.

As of 11 September 2026, the FP-7 had completed ground, laboratory and developmental flight testing and had entered military trials associated with Ukrainian codification. At least two launches had been publicly shown, but neither formal service entry nor combat employment had been independently confirmed. No production total, unit price or formal operator had been announced.
